Celebrating Success & Staying Connected: June Edition!

We’re looking forward to staying connected with you this year. Our goal is to share important updates, upcoming events, and programs for students and families in one easy place. This month’s newsletter includes helpful reminders and events happening across the district.

 

Key June Dates

We've gathered all the key dates you need in one place.

June 2: Seniors' Last Day of School
June 3: Graduation Practice HHS Seniors
June 4: Graduation Ceremony HHS Seniors
June 9: Last day of school for students
June 10: Last day of school for teachers
June 15: First day of Summer Program for Middle and High School
June 22: First day of Summer Program for Elementary School

 

Graduation

June 3 is Graduation Practice for HHS Seniors at the Toyota Center. 
June 4 is the Graduation ceremony at the Toyota Center with doors opening at 6pm and the ceremony starting at 7pm.

Toyota Center Policy Reminders
No balloons, noisemakers, strollers, outside food/drinks, or weapons. Flowers may not accompany graduates on the floor. The facility is smoke-free (including vapes/e-cigarettes). Clear bags only (max 12"x6"); small clutches up to 4.5"x6.5" permitted.

Summer Meals

Hermiston School District is proud to offer free summer meals for all children and teens 18 and under. Meals are available at select schools on-site throughout the summer, no registration or ID required.

Start of Summer Program

Summer Program is officially underway!

The first day of Summer Program for Middle School and High School is June 15 and the first day of Summer Program for Elementary School is June 22.

Parent Guidance

Parent Guidance offers 50+ therapist-led courses on child and parent mental health, plus free personalized coaching with weekly 30-minute phone or video sessions with a trained professional.

HHS Cross Country Butte Challenge- 5k/10k Race

Saturday, June 6 is the 2026 Butte Challenge! Packet pickup and race day registration open at 7:30 AM, with races starting at 8:30 AM. 

Kids 10 and under can run a free 1-mile race. All proceeds will benefit the Hermiston Cross Country program.
