Rocky Heights Elementary is kicking off a Run for the Arts week from October 8-11. Students will have a “dress up week” and tomorrow Aaron Nigel Smith will perform reggae music at an assembly scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m. He will be back in the evening to perform for the community at 5 p.m.
The students collect pledges from family members, neighbors, and friends, and they will run laps on Thursday, October 11. The goal of Run for the Arts is to keep the arts alive in the hearts and minds of students. In previous years the school has brought authors, artists, and musicians. This is the eighth year of Run for the Arts at Rocky Heights.
